Adper Scotchbond Multi-Purpose Plus Adhesive offers you complete dental bonding with dual-cure capabilities and a streamlined technique for fast and easy use on a variety of surfaces, like dentin, enamel, composite, fresh amalgam, metals and porcelain.
Use it with confidence for bonding to wet or dry tooth surfaces in a variety of applications including indirect restorations, deep Class II restorations and difficult Class V restorations with sclerotic dentin.

Long-term clinical study shows less technique sensitivity. A long-term clinical study reported that restorations using Adper™ Scotchbond™ Multi-Purpose Adhesive were over 90% Alpha at 7.5 years in retention, marginal integrity and marginal discoloration, (1, 2) – proving its long-term clinical history of strength and reliability. A separate in vitro study compared the bond strength of Adper Scotchbond Multi-Purpose adhesive using a moist technique to a technique that involves air drying for 5 seconds. The adhesive produced equivalent high bond strengths with both techniques – proving its versatility in a variety of conditions with less technique sensitivity. This promotes a more consistent hybrid layer, resulting in reduced post-operative sensitivity. |

² When this clinical study was initiated, 10% maleic acid was packaged with the Scotchbond Multi-Purpose dental adhesive system and used as its etchant. The current system’s etchant, a 35% phosphoric acid, should provide similar results. In addition, a slight modification was made in the adhesive component to allow it to dual-cure as part of the Scotchbond™ Multi-Purpose Plus Dental Adhesive System introduced in 1994. The primer component of the system remains unchanged.
