Turn engine off

Remove air intake boot at the manifold
|
|
|
Place a cloth under the throttle valve and air intake opening
|
|
|
Hold can upright and push actuator all the way down to apply uniform spray
|
|
|
If using the extension tube, insert it into the actuator using twisting motion
|
|
|
Apply cleaner to both sides of throttle plate and surrounding area by spraying or wiping with a cloth dampened with 3M™ Throttle Plate & Intake Cleaner |
|
|
Allow cleaner to work for 10-20 seconds.
|
|
|
Repeat spraying or wiping to remove softened deposits
|
|
|
Repeat cleaning as necessary
|
|
|
Clear intake manifold of cleaner fumes by blowing air into the intake manifold or allowing the car to remain for a few minutes with the throttle plate wide open
|
|
|
This will reduce the possibility of a backfire when the car is started
|
|
|
Best results are obtained when material is at room temperature
|
|
|
Attach air intake boot and run the car
|
