Bring engine to normal operating temperature.
|
|
Loosen and re-tighten Petrol tank cap to release pressure in the tank.
|
|
Remove one of the battery terminals to avoid any short circuit.
|
|
Deactivate fuel pump through fuel pump fuse or fuel pump connection on the tank.
|
|
Refix battery terminal.
|
|
Remove fuel inlet connection from the fuel rail.
|
|
On the fuel rail inlet attach one end of the 3M Adaptors (Adaptors vary as per the vehicle model).
|
|
Remove vacuum hose from pressure regulator on fuel rail.
|
|
Plug vacuum line with a dummy. Fix the quick release coupler on to the 3M FSC can and hand tight the same.
|
|
With the hose Shut off position, fix the other end of the adaptor to 3M FSC can with quick connector fitted on to the can.
|
|
Use 3M Can hanger to hang the can on to the open bonnet.
|
|
Adjust the pressure regulator to 2-4 Kg/cm2.
|
|
Turn the hose valve to ON position.
|
|
Seal the leaks if any.
|
|
Do not operate engine if leak persists.
|
|
Start the engine and idle it till the engine stalls (Approx. 15-45 minutes).
|
|
Turn off hose valve and disconnect from fuel system.
|
|
Reconnect fuel pump and vacuum hose.
|
|
Run the engine and check connections for leaks if any.
|
