Surface Textured Films

Surfaced Textured Films are pressure sensitive two-mil removable graphic films designed with a vinyl material. These films adapt to moderately textured surfaces on both flat and curved substrates when heated and applied. They prevent abrasion and improve removal characteristics than other films. They are available with and without adhesives and with a layflat polyethylene coated paper liner. They have an excellent chemical resistance to mild alkalis, mild acids and salt. They also have excellent water resistance; however this does not include immersion.

3M™ Scotchcal™ Graphic Film for Textured Surfaces IJ8624, RG8624, FN8624 and 8624 ES
Two-mil removal graphic films designed for solvent-based piezo inkjet printing or for electrostatic printing. When heated and applied with 3M’s application tools and techniques, these films conform to moderately textured surfaces on both flat and curved substrates. These include concrete block, brick, industrial stucco and tile similar to those surfaces commonly found in sports arena, stadiums, restaurants, retail and other public venues.
For Piezo Inkjet Printing graphic protection is not always required, but recommended. Graphic protection is required for Electrostatic Printing to protect the toners.
Application of this film requires the use of high heat, 3M’s textured surface applicator tools and unique application technique.

3M™ Scotchcal™ Graphic Film for Textured Surfaces IJ8624 and 3M™ Scotchcal™ Luster Overlaminate 8524 is a tool used for solvent inkjet printed graphics applied to textured surfaces.
This film has an excellent adhesion to moderately textured surfaces when using the 3M patent-pending installation procedure. This film is removable with heat and the gray adhesive on film IJ8624 will hide almost any wall color.
