Reducing Glare There are a few easy adjustments you can make to reduce screen glare and related strain on your eye.
- Use a Computer Filter
- Make sure you monitor is at the recommended viewing distance of 20-32" (50-80 cm)
- With your screen dark, check for reflections on your screen from windows or lights; use blinds or, dim or diffuse lights to reduce the glare
- Arrange your workspace such that there is no light shining directly into your eye
or on your computer screen.
- Wear dark clothing that does not reflect like whites and light colors while working
with your computer
- Get annual eye checks done, as recommended by the American Optometric Association (AOA)
- If you need corrective lenses, inform your doctor you work at a computer; it may make a difference in your prescription

Screen Protection All 3M Computer Filters help safeguard fragile LCD screens from scratches, fingerprints and smudges. 3M offers a special Protection filter to help protect your notebook computer and desktop LCD monitor.
Today's LCD screens are brighter and easier to view, but are also prone to scratches
and damage. Repairs can be costly. A 3M Protection Filter can help protect the screen from damage while reducing glare and strain on the eye.
