The 3M™ CAT 6 RCP 2000 Modules & Blocks are designed for DDF (Digital Distribution Frame) applications of the Central Office. These can also be used in ‘next generation’, cross-connect cabinets, used for high speed data networks.

  • Uses a simple modular approach with a few basic components such as 8-pairs modules, back-mount frames and management accessories.

  • Can be used as cross-connect in a standard phone system today, and will support VoIP applications.

This module offers CAT 5 transmission performance as a standard and hence is fully compatible with a variety of applications like xDSL, Pairgain™, etc. Besides, this facilitates easy termination and management of cable jumpers either from the rear or from the side. 3M offers straight IDC technology that assures outstanding performance through:

  • Multiple retermination with all kinds of conductor gauges in the 0,8 to 0,4 mm (20 to 26 AWG) range
  • Improved wire retention (in all directions)
  • Gas-tight connection area – corrosion-proof
  • Tin-lead plating on contacts avoids corrosion
  • Transmission performances meet Cat. 5 (100 MHz)
  • 2 wires can be accommodated in the same slot
  • Very compact design
  • Specific contacts for stranded wires upon request.

The STG 2000 blocks are available with multi-pair, single pair or without protection facility.

The BRCP is a high density terminal block in the latest generation of MDF terminal blocks developed by 3M. This is specifically designed for xDSL deployment in the Central Office for DSLAM interconnection with the existing Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and for DSLAM interconnections in remote street cabinets.

These terminal blocks are designed for optimizing space in MDF and cross connect the field during xDSL deployment and migration to Next Generation Networks.

  • Legacy ADSL, Line Sharing
  • Full Unbundling line management to reduce complexity of jumpering
